Hi, The best way to check this stuff out is to use the Outlook Autodiscover test tool - from within Outlook use ctrl key whilst right clicking on the Outlook item in the systray - it works with JFW systray explorer. When in there you can test different ways that Outlook does Autodiscover including HTTP/S for Exchange. However in summary you usually have to authenticate twice to the system if your machine is outside the domain or you use Office365, once to auth into the Autodiscover service itself and then you have to reply to an NTLM challenge prompt to auth into Exchange RPC. Its been ages since I did this stuff but seem to remember this part as its not the best to get it right. Hi, You should be able to log in via just the username part, but the best idea is to set a UPN that is the same as your email domain and then create a UPN to match the username of the email address. Hey Andrew, Thanks so much, it worked! My apologies,, I forgot to mention that I have a different domain set for the accepted domains in Exchange. Just one more question please? So I've successfully added the UPN suffix in AD, When I connect in outlook and add my email address and password and click next, outlook tries to authenticate but then comes back asking me to enter my credentials. I have to click on more choices, in the username, I add my email address and password and then all goes through. Would you perhaps know why I have to enter my credentials twice? Hi Listers, Sorry for the somewhat vague subject. To those who have setup an on-premmiesis exchange server, How do you go about having a user accessing mails via outlook logon just using their email address and password? As it currently is, I have to connect using: Domain\username followed by the password. I'd like to authenticate with just the email address and password. I've googled, but can only find a way to change it for OWA and not outlook or any other client. Your help would be much appreciated. Kind Regards

Accessible backup solution?

Hi Listers, Hope all are well. Firstly, I'd like to thank the people who replied to my question regarding accessibility of networking equipment, I've gone with a mix of Ubiquiti and mikrotik. As I continue with my lab, I have come to the point of where I have setup a few virtual machines and would like to back them up. Ideally, I'd like to manage the backups from one location and remotely if possible. I've heard of software like Veeam, Acronis, Backup Exec, DLO etc, but would like to know which backup software do you use with regard to accessibility? I've tried veeam, but it doesn't seem like the most pleasant interface to use. The agent on windows doesn't seem to bad though. I don't have any complicated setups, all these backups will be stored on a NAS. Your help would be much appreciated. Kind Regards

raspberry pi, kali linux, and re4son kernel

Hello, I've got kali linux going on the official kali arm image raspberry pi 3 b + it's a nexmon image. My end goal is to get my external USB wireless adapter to work, it is an Alfa AWUS 036ACH it is supported by the rtl8112AU driver which is apparently not included in the nexmon image and thus far is proving hard to get working. I've heard that the re4son kernel has this and other drivers and will work with my card, thus far I've not ben able to get it going. Does anyone have this combination going and have any suggestions? Hello, To those who are running php in production environments, with 5.6 reaching EOL I'm having to upgrade. It looks from the php time line and releases page that 7.1 is nearly in the same boat. I'm using a Cisco VoIP phone model CP8841. We've enabled the TTS functionality, and it's working well other than that when I receive a call from an outside unknown caller, the phone announces "unknown caller" and does not provide the caller's number. Has anyone encountered this and perhaps found a workaround? Chris

I have encountered few crashes with JAWS 2019 and latest office 365 desktop version of outlook, but I wouldn't really experience sluggishness. Same thing with Word, just crashes for no apparent reason, sometimes when spellchecking. Greetings I am using Outlook in two situations. First when connected to Exchange, I noticed that JFW will stop talking from time to time. I suspect this is due to our WAN connection speeds being variable at best. Second, I am using Outlook to connect to email services using IMAP. For a while it was sluggish and JFW also stopped talking every now and then. In both scenarios JFW did begin talking again. As for the latter, the ISP tech came and found issues with the service. After correcting the cabling issues, attaching a booster and replacing the MODEM with a more up-to-date version performance improved tremendously and JFW rarely stops speaking and Outlook using IMAP seem rather robust. JAWS and Outlook very sluggish

Hi, Is anyone else encountering sluggishness with jaws when using office 365 Outlook 2016 desktop version? Two jaws users both noticed the same thing in my organization. Outlook moves a little bit better with nvda but not much. I have disabled add-ins for Skype for business, and Zoom video conferencing, but this is not helped. It takes about 4 seconds to open a message before jaws can begin reading it. Delays are also encountered when changing folders and browsing for files for attachments.
