raspberry pi, kali linux, and re4son kernel

Hello, I've got kali linux going on the official kali arm image raspberry pi 3 b + it's a nexmon image. My end goal is to get my external USB wireless adapter to work, it is an Alfa AWUS 036ACH it is supported by the rtl8112AU driver which is apparently not included in the nexmon image and thus far is proving hard to get working. I've heard that the re4son kernel has this and other drivers and will work with my card, thus far I've not ben able to get it going. Does anyone have this combination going and have any suggestions? Hello, To those who are running php in production environments, with 5.6 reaching EOL I'm having to upgrade. It looks from the php time line and releases page that 7.1 is nearly in the same boat. So I'm thinking either Php 7.2 or 7.3. Which of those are you running and why one over the other? Thanks. Dave.

Text to speech for incoming call announcement on Cisco VoIP Phone CP8841

I'm using a Cisco VoIP phone model CP8841. We've enabled the TTS functionality, and it's working well other than that when I receive a call from an outside unknown caller, the phone announces "unknown caller" and does not provide the caller's number. Has anyone encountered this and perhaps found a workaround? Chris

I have encountered few crashes with JAWS 2019 and latest office 365 desktop version of outlook, but I wouldn't really experience sluggishness. Same thing with Word, just crashes for no apparent reason, sometimes when spellchecking. Greetings I am using Outlook in two situations. First when connected to Exchange, I noticed that JFW will stop talking from time to time. I suspect this is due to our WAN connection speeds being variable at best. Second, I am using Outlook to connect to email services using IMAP. For a while it was sluggish and JFW also stopped talking every now and then. In both scenarios JFW did begin talking again. As for the latter, the ISP tech came and found issues with the service. After correcting the cabling issues, attaching a booster and replacing the MODEM with a more up-to-date version performance improved tremendously and JFW rarely stops speaking and Outlook using IMAP seem rather robust. NVDA Updater Scripts for a corporate network

Hi all, I promised to show you how I made the NVDA Updater i use here to get our chaotic NVDA installations in order. Should work. I tried that on a small scale at the moment. Prerequisites You need: * NVDA installer from the NV Access website. * NSIS installer from https://sf.net/projects/nsis/ * then you need psexec from the sysinternals tools from Microsoft: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/ The following scripts are well commented out and so that shouldn't be a problem for someone who has a little bit a knowledge of some batch commands and some general commands and NSIS files. Please edit them that they fit your directory structure. Hi andrew. Well. Is there a way to keep all my programs and then reset, so then I don't lose them. If so, let me know how to do this. With jaws 2019. Been trying a week or two trying to get it to work. And noticed this issue. So, let me know. How to do this. Okay, well. Hope it then keeps my programs and settings. And how long will it take. A Toshiba satellite pro c-50-a 8 gb ram, intel I 7 3 quad core 2.5 ghz, 750 gb hard disk, 700 gb hidden particion. Running windows 10 1809. So, if there's a way, where it will then keep my programs, let me know. Okay, this may take a few hours, but might fix this. sql management studio 2017 cannot launch

Hi. using sql management studio 2017 64 bit pro, windows 10 64 bit pro Toshiba laptop. Was upgrading visual studio community 2017 15.9.1 when my machine crashed,and then had to then repair or reinstall. Tried repairing the 2015 vc++ isolated shell, and used control panel \ programs and features and then tried to click on change in that and use alt r for repair. As jaws or nvda would not read it at all. Unless I have a corrupted isolated shell. Visual studio 2017 community is working fine . now when I try to then repair sql management studio 2017. And when I launch, will post the error below. Have tried googling. But most of the proglsolutions, either repairing the isolated shell, or remove the registry items. And not really want to play around with the registry. More of a web designer or programmer and then a network systems guy. Will paste the error message below. Have tried to repair, remove and then reinstall. So any one got a fix, so I can then get it to launch. Yes, and I tried stopping the sql process in administrator settings, then starting it again, rebooted. Still get thiserror. Any one had this issue. Will paste below. Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio Cannot find one or more components. Please reinstall the application. OK If any one has had this issue. Did they find a work around. Don't want to reset the os, don't want to have to load my 50 or 100 more students programming apps. Takes a few weeks. sql management studio 2017

Hi. what I did, from a msdn forum, was downloaded the ex 86 and the x 64 bit 2017 redist for vc++ 2017. Then uinstalled those , and then did the repair for isolated shell, and using alt r, and clicked yes. But not sure if it repaired, then reinstalled the x86 and x 64 vc++ 2017, then reinstalled sql management studio 2017.19 latest stable version. And got the latest sql management studio or sql server kb update, security update and installed. So cannot still run sql managent studio. Any one ran into this issue. How to get it to work. And have tried a few things. But not working. Don't want to have to do a reset for windows 10 and then have to load my 50 or 100 programming projects, don't have three weeks to do that, last time I did a windows reset. Disability answer desk did not help. Any one able to suggest how to get this to work. Driving me nuts. Spent most of today trying to resolve this issue. What am I doing wrong. Frustrated. Have tried to help my self. But if any of you people have had a similar issue, and how it was fixed. Did try looking for a sql server and managemen studio clear utility to totally clear it out of my system. But could not find one. Just frustrated. Don't know why, was updating to visual studio 2017.9.0 the other week and it decided to crash, then had to do a repair. Hi, You should be able to check/uncheck calendars to show using the space bar. I have quite some shared calendars and sometimes it's hard to see what's scheduled in all of them, so if I want to zoom in on a specific calendar, I right click it and open it in a new window. Accessing shared calendars in Outlook 2016

Hi all, I just got access to a shared calendar in Office 2016, and while I can find it via the F6 toggle, I cannot seem to activate it by doing that. Right clicking on it and saying show calendar, doesn't seem to let me access it via the keyboard either; the show calendar option seemingly remains unchecked. A, I doing something incorrectly here? Thanks.

Hello, I'm trying to create a new report for SCCM. I'm in the SSRS report builder window and from there, I can navigate around the ribbon but I cant seem to get out of the ribbon. I know that I have hit the new report option so there are other things on screen. Has anyone used this? If so, do you have any tips? Thanks

Copying/pasting text in the Windows 10 1809 console

I read somewhere that Windows 10 1809 supported keyboard shortcuts for copying/pasting text in the console used by Windows Subsystem for Linux. However, if I review the terminal window, I don’t find any controls that would allow me to enable the keyboard shortcuts. I may be missing something obvious. Enlightenment would be welcome. I have both JAWS 2019 and NVDA 2018.3.2 available (as well as Narrator, of course).

I took it over ten years ago, so my experience is outdated, but at the time I was in an instructor lead course and didn't run into any problems. Thinking back on it now the content was pretty basic, what's a firewall, what's an IDS, etc. so I think you'll do fine.
