Dear Ryan: This is very exciting news. Never even mentioned at the WPC15 this past week in Orlando, FL. I would love to learn more about your success or failures. Microsoft Server core needs to discuss this in more detail. SCO is a royal pain to use and I am finding it more difficult on Win Server 2016. I’m going to try and set up some test servers next week and start messing with it, but was wondering if anyone has beaten me to it and knew how hard it was to get going? Hi. Staying clear of that as well. Okay, got sql server 2014 developer working, created my database, via the create database script, as the file wizard kept saying empty file name, and then created my two tables, then set it up, then entered the data. All is working fine now. Just have to add the adventure 2014 works database, samples, and then good to go, next part of my database assignment. Creating a new table, importing data from a .csv file. Then run the script, then save the table data. This was not doing that under express. Okay, with the windows talking pe, can I use a usb stick, got a 4 gb and a 30 gb, if I need to reinstall windows 8.1, or update to windows 10. Marvin.

sql server 2014 databaseinstall success

Hi. Was able to install it. And now. Just reading up how to create a new database. Looks like I need to create the database skemer? Is that correct. Everytime, expand the database top node, right click create or new, and enter a name, click add, then ok, gives me an error saying the file name was blank. But it is not empty. How do I create a new database, and now to import a sql or mdf file. Thanks. Ps: maybe missing some thing simple, but was able to create new in express. Needed developer, as the next assignment, is to import data into a new table from a .csv file, and the express, said it did not save the import. Any ideas. Thanks.

Hi. Tried both on internet explorer and firefox, says the chat page, is not redirecting, do have cookies enabled. Just having a bad day and frustrated. 1. I could not install sql server 2014 developer, says the names are too long for the media. 2. 2. My database that had been working on for sql server management studio 2014 express, decided to uinstall, and now, my database is corrupted. 3. So, any tools to recover corrupted database, .mdf that works with jaws, and also tried a few system restore points, and disabled avg, and then totally removed it. 4. Now, it did not restore my system. 5. So just having one of those frustrating days. 6. And not even sure I still have the windows 8.1 enterprise dvd. 7. Marvin.

Hi Andrew. Tried that. But in the installation centre, no where and no link for the developer to install a new one. And yes, did back up, but now, the .sql file would not restore. So just had to totally wipe out avg, and do a system restore. As it would not do that. Go back. So, looking for a way to bypass the installation centre, and a msi or .exe to install sql developer, and have a legal copy, as the dream spark, says do not have to have a key, embeeded in the installation. Can you help me out. Or how to install, by pass the set up .exe. A whole heap of msi, which one to install. Or provide me with how to install. My lectuer not back till Monday, which is a pain, looked at different forums, and blogs. Nope, does not let me install, because ihave the express, and did uninstall the express, then no way to install developer, either upgrade assistant or migration wizard, no way to install a stand alone. Can you help. Totally frustrated. Just about to do a system restore back to this morning, unplugged the external drie and flash drive. So. Any help. Marvin.

Hi. Doing an assignment, where I need to create a couple of tables for a database, then import the data. Did this yesterday, and now when I use the import / export wizard sql express 2014, 64 bit for my windows 8.1, 64 bit, machine, it says I need sql server pro, enterprise or developer. To save the imported data. Well. As a member of dreamspark, as a student, got the developer version. When I run the setup, no install new installasation or stand aline. Only to upgrade or migrate tool. Any one got any ideas, or links where I can download and or install, or how to by pass the installation centre. Using jaws 16, latest version, 64 bit. Any help. Thanks.

Hi. Doing a programming course from http://www.upskilled.edu.au and using http://www.lynda.com. Now part of the security cluster of the course, certificate iv programming, is using a server, and got windows server 2012 r2 essentials. And have got virtual box, which I say, is very jaws friendly, the main interface. Version 5.0, must have got better. So. Can I install jaws, nvda, window-eyes, and use the server? And in virtual box, is it windows enter or windows u to bring up narrator.thanks. Ps: any other tips, tricks, tweeks to make it more accessible.

NVDA Remote Relay?

Hello Everyone. Please Forgive me if this has been asked before or if this is off topic, but i've only just subscribed to this list. With the recent release of NVDA Remote, I thought i'd investigate the possibility of setting up my own relay server for personal use, so I can administer multiple machines around my home. however, there's no mention of the relay server in the client documentation. The only implication is that 1 is running at NVDARemote.com. i'd much prefer to host my own so I'm not relying on third party connections etc. Does anyone have any more information about the server component? It would be a real shame if they didn't release it on security grounds. surely it would only be a risk if the connection was first specifically set up/initiated? i would've asked on their mailing list, but its unclear how you subscribe and seems to be for announcements only. any help would be much appreciated. Which program do people recommend for terminal sharing?

Hi, One of the products I support lives on Linux boxes, so I have been exploring the possibility of using something like 'tmux' or 'tmate', for times when it is useful to see what the customer themselves is doing on their box as they do it. So far I have found 'tmate' ok, but 'speak' does seem to like reading out bits of the session from before. reading up from the bottom of the window seems to work ok though. Also, if I create the 'tmate' session on my Mac all is good, but if I connect to someone els's session, VO seems to get very hung up on telling me about light box drawings. Any thoughts on the best solutions for terminal sharing are very much appreciated. Cheers, Jen.

Hi, Sometimes if I am working from home it would be good to set up a VM on my machine at work, so it's there when I go to the office, and I don't have to copy it and take it in on a USB drive etc. I'm currently using a Mac with VMWare fusion. Is there a tool to set up and run VMs from the command line, that I could install on my Mac and use after SSHing in? Cheers, Jen.
