Hello there, Do any of you know of any alternatives to using the IE11 developer tools that is accessible? I've tried using fiddler but that hasn't been much better. I need to grab XML that is sent from the client back to the server as part of a CXML checkout but I'm having one of those days where absolutely nothing seems to be accessible any more. Thanks

Mac terminal emulation software

Can anyone point me at a native Mac application for terminal emulation over serial connections? I have a pl20323 serial adapter which the Mac recognizes no problem but I don’t have any software that I can use to take advantage of this port and allow me to configure new routers and switches etc. Any pointers would be most appreciated! Obviously Voice Over support is critical. Anyone using a program they can suggest, free paid or otherwise. Thanks Scott

Hi. I recently came across emulators for old hardware such as IBM 360/370/390, and digital equipment's PDP line. Does anyone on this list have any documentation laying around for this old hardware, and for the following operating systems? Any OS for IBM 360/370/390, especially VMS or TOS TOPS10 on the PDP 10 or any of the different operating systems that can run on the pdp 8, pdp11, PDP 15 or VAX? RFB&D used to have a lot of manuals on tape, but I guess it is all gone now. Many thanks Phil

WatchGuard XTM accessibility

Hello Everyone, I was wondering if anybody ever used watchguard products like firewall and stumbled with accessibility of GUI or Watchguard System Manager. I know the GUI web interface works with Windows eyes to some extent, but could not ever find any kind of screen reader to make system manager accessible. Any kind of input greatly appreciated. P.S. Hi, I want to set up a web server with FTP on a Debian box. Idea is that users log in and get access to /var/www/host, but that is it. I have done this before but it wasn't the best option, and I need this to be as secure as possible (realising that the password for FTP connections go over plaintext). Any recipes/ideas that have worked in the past? Thanks. Andrew.

Hello Everyone, I'm running an fc20 Linux linode. I'll admit the past two months I've not been paying as much attention to it as I should, with a bunch of unexpected stresses. That being said it is fully up to date, I do that daily and it is running a firewall as well as the fail2ban software for automated bots defense. Tonight I checked my email and noticed two from an account on my system sent to me that is my account. I've got all root email forwarded to my account to read it. Now two things, first this account shouldn't have got any cron reports, second since I use virtual users and they're all in a database that user shouldn't have been able to send email from my server to me. I checked the account on the server and noticed a hidden directory called .local under which there was a share directory and a system directory under that. Finally there is a broken symbolic link called user which points or pointed I should say to a now nonexistent file and folder which do not exist. I've got an email out to the user, and I've checked the password file for any accounts with login shells, nothing new has come up. If this was an attempted root breakin with a rootkit this user is not in th e sudoers file so I think I'm safe there. I'd like to hear your thoughts on this, and some further steps I can take on this issue to either confirm or refute as to whether I've been breeched. Thanks. Dave.

this keeps coming up on various lists. version 2 broke accessibility but the company says it will be restored in version 2.1. In the meantime, just tell version 1.75 not to update the program, but to continue updating the database. You'll be as safe as ever. Has anyone found that the latest version of Malware Bytes is inaccessible to screen readers. Is there another free product which anyone would recommend as a cleanup tool in addition to having a regular Antivirus program. We use Viper Business edition, but of course, it's good to have another tool which finds things that the commercial products don't. Thanks.

USB External Server Backup Drives

Does anyone know of, and perhaps even use, a make and model of UEB external drive which will allow backup of SBS 2011/Server 2008 R2. Ideally I need 2. There appears to be a very limited range of such drives, and certainly the likes of the Seagate Backup Plus (2 TB) do not work. It needs to be something I can remove one from the premises, without getting a hernia in the process. George.

Hi all, I'm trying to get a jaws network license setup for the company i work at. I'm not very familiar with this, but here is my understanding. The basic concept is that if a machine (physical or virtual) can be pinged, it should be possible to install the jaws license server on this, so that other clients can take the tokens. I would be installing this server on a virtual machine, but here is my question. A virtual machine can only be used by one user at a time, so when jaws retrieves the token, is the connection kept open or after the token is received the connection also closes? Could someone please explain to me how this token exchanging takes place? Would a server work if it is installed on the virtual machine? would appreciate any help with this. I’m trying to write a small script in bash and it’s not working. I want to count from 0 to 65535 and put that number, 1 per line in a flat file I was trying something like this COUNT=0 while [$COUNT -lt 65536] do echo $COUNT >> /home/netflow/etc/0-65535.txt COUNT=`expr $COUNT + 1` done I keep getting a bash “0 invalid command” Anyone know how to write this expression correctly so it populates the file? Vmware Workstation9, Linux vms, and no audio, Solved!

Hello, I was having an audio problem with my Linux* virtual machines. They had worked previously, but after upgrading to workstation9 at least I am assuming that's when they broke, no audio in existing or new Linux virtual machines. This included Arch, and Ubuntu, for sure. So I googled and found this link: http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US&cmd=di… I checked my .vmx files for each of the effected virtual machines and didn't find a sound.virtualDev entry, even though in the graphical configuration editor, (settings), I sound a sound card installed in the vm, connected at vm startup and set to the host sound card. So going on the article I added in the es1371 sound.virtualDev entry, no good. I then changed the config to: sound.virtualDev = "hdaudio" restarted the vm and it worked great! If you find a vm whose audio isn't working give this a try. Hth Dave.
