Take a look at terabyteunlimited. I just got their image for windows program. if you buy the total package, which I did, it costs about $49 u.s. you get a boot manipulation program called bootitng, image for windows, image for dos, and image for Linux along with a set of utilities to make installing operating system easier. I just tried it, and I was able to make an image of my dual boot system, dos on the first partition and windows on a logical partition. I restored them to a different drive and I was able to boot the new drive. everything is extremely jaws accessible, even the image for dos program. Their documentation needs a little work, but if you play around, it can work. Their tech support seems to be pretty good. The company sponsors some news groups for their products too. I highly recommend them. I did all this not only to help me at home, but to solve a problem of imaging all our computers at work. by the way, you can download a trial version of their products to try out. so far, I am impressed. My next project is to make a bootable cd with dos and jaws for dos in a ram drive. if you need any more info, just ask. Hello, My recent experience with my laptop has shown that i am in need of an accessible flexible imaging solution. I tried ghost specifically 2007, but since they moved to a CD system as opposed to the old floppies which i could batch script that wasn't workable without sighted assistance. And when i got it ghost wouldn't see the USB external hard disk, i'm not sure but i think that reason was due to the fact that it was a 500 gb hd and formatted ntfs, i'd like for this to be doable. Thanks. Dave.
