Hello, Yes, I did try your suggestion. However it did not work for me. Perhaps I did not set it up correctly, but I was not able to easily identify the changes, and switch between the two windows. Maybe I will try it again when I have some time. Thank you, Chamandeep Singh Grover Sent from my iPhone

Hmmm, maybe I will load this up in the future and give it a whirl. But did you actually try Win Merge that I suggested. There are keystrokes for all of the comparison and merge actions. The keystrokes are listed in the Help menu very accessible for screen readers. When changing between code windows, the lines remain in sync. I use my screen reader's (JAWS) font color keystrokes to identify the beginning and end of a large block of modified code, (when I have it set to display non-modified lines). As I merge in the changes, from left to right, or right to left, depending on what I want, the count of changes decrease. I know this by telling my screen reader to read the status bar. It sounds like Win Merge will do all you want, including staying in sync between code windows. But if you already tried it and something else was a hold back, then sorry. I just wanted to make sure you saw my response to your post a while back. Take care. Rodney

Hi All, Some time back I wrote on this list to ask whether there was an accessible solution for comparing code in visual studio. Well, now I think I have found something that works quite well. The best i've seen so far to be honest. The comparison tool is called Code compare. https://www.devart.com/codecompare/ Once set up, you can move between the source and target files using control 1 and control 2. move to the next and previous differences with alt + up/down arrows. and replace content from one file to other by using alt + left/right arrow keys. The only thing that doesn't automatically happen for screen readers is when you switch to the other window, the line numbers are not in sync. So you have to ensure you find the correct matching lines by doing the same number of next difference keystrokes on both sides.
Please give this a go and let everyone know your findings. I am very excited about this as resolving conflicts has been a major blocker to my work on almost a daily basis.
Hope this helps.
