I wouldn't recommend Fusion or VMWare Workstation, not because they're inaccessible, both of them work really well with speech, but they're designed for desktop virtualization, AKA virtualizing an OS on a desktop platform, not a server platform. I'd recommend either HyperV or VMWare's ESXI product. I've only played with HyperV for a few minutes, but its MMC based and looks accessible, but another blind sysadmins said that deep down there are annoyances. ESXI is a specialized operating system just for virtualization. Once its installed, you never touch the host system again and do all your work from your client machine connected over IP to the host. The interface isn't the most accessible, but its doable, and I've been very impressed with VMWare's products on the whole. We have had 03 running in a VM under VPC 07 for some time now. Should we still run SBS 08 as a virtualized server? If so what is the most accessible means of doing this, HyperV, Fusion on the Mac, VMWare Workstation, or something else. I loved VPC but I don't think it can work with 64 bit guest systems. Also what host hardware and OS should I use. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated since sighted help is rarely available around here.
