A trick I have found to get sound working in a virtual machine is to use a USB headset. After booting the virtual machine, you can connect the USB headset and usually, it will automatically start using it. In fact, it is kind of nice because then you have the vm in your headset and your regular computer on your regular speakers. I probably should add that I have only done this on Linux hosts. I have created about a million Windows virtual machines but only with VMware for Linux and VirtualBox for Linux. On 3/30/20 11:05 PM, Marvin Hunkin wrote:
Hi.
Get a free vm from http://www.heropa.com for my it networking course to do an assessment. Using jaws 2020, nvda, windows 10 pro 64 bit. Need a free vm, so I can then install windows server, docker, nano server, windows 10 enterprise for lab and learning.
Anny ideas, recommendations.
Tried vm ware player, says I needed to then turn off manager, for windows server 2016 standard iso, and in virtual box, no way to turn on audio. Hyper v manager, same issue.
So any recommendations.
Thanks.credential
