I find Windows Security Essentials to work very nicely with little overhead. The Windows security suite does an OK job. Regardless of what solution one employs I recommend periodic scans with other tools like Spybot Search and Destroy and malware Bytes. no one product can protect against everything. AVG is accessible, however over the last few releases I've noticed that it comes with a substantial amount of overhead. The corporate version of Symantec Anti Virus is accessible, however it is not free. I've not used it myself, but is it actually a recommended solution as the only software running on a home system? Does it protect against everything? online banking, spyware etc? or is it a compromise. I have been using Avast. Although it is not completely accessible, once setup i find there is not much maintenance that has to be done. Regards, Chamandeep Singh On 3/1/13, Andrew Hodgson <andrew@hodgsonfamily.org> wrote:
Hi,
Personally Sophos, but it is a business-class solution with a price to match. Even their web and email enforcement appliances work well with Jaws.

Hy. I remember the days when about 10 years ago we could choose from diferent tools for antivirus, from basic to very advanced one, and almost all of them were accessible. However, today the situation doesn't look nice at all with new versions coming out which are becoming more and more inaccessible. If we exclude ms security essentials which could be ok for home user, wich tool do you find the most accessible and usable with screen readers? Thanks for the answer Mario _______________________________________________ Blind-sysadmins mailing list Blind-sysadmins@lists.hodgsonfamily.org http://lists.hodgsonfamily.org/listinfo/blind-sysadmins
