Thanks Frank -----Original Message----- From: blind-sysadmins-bounces@lists.hodgsonfamily.org [mailto:blind-sysadmins-bounces@lists.hodgsonfamily.org] On Behalf Of Andrew Hodgson Sent: Saturday, April 24, 2010 4:03 PM To: Blind sysadmins list Subject: Re: [Blind-sysadmins] SBS 2003 and Exchange Sp2 Hi, Assuming you are sending this mail through your Exchange server, there is the line in the headers: X-MIMEOLE: Produced By Microsoft Exchange V6.5.7235.2 That is a Service Pack 1 version. If on SP2, Microsoft doesn't specify the version of Exchange in the headers like this. Exchange service packs aren't offered up on MU due to the issues in complex environments. So far as I remember it was just a case of downloading the service pack, doing an offline backup of the mail store (I could have done an online backup but in those days I tended to do offline backups since we had very small databases on this home system), and applying it. A significant change with the SP2 was introduction of full push mail support, and the IMF component that acted as an antispam checker. I never used the later feature, however. Read the readme first, your AV product needs to support SP2 if it integrates with Exchange. This is fully supported on SBS 2003 without any special installer or anything. Thanks. Also if it is not installed how can I get it? I didn't see it on http://update.microsoft.com Thanks Frank _______________________________________________ Blind-sysadmins mailing list Blind-sysadmins@lists.hodgsonfamily.org http://lists.hodgsonfamily.org/mailman/listinfo/blind-sysadmins _______________________________________________ Blind-sysadmins mailing list Blind-sysadmins@lists.hodgsonfamily.org http://lists.hodgsonfamily.org/mailman/listinfo/blind-sysadmins _______________________________________________ Blind-sysadmins mailing list Blind-sysadmins@lists.hodgsonfamily.org http://lists.hodgsonfamily.org/mailman/listinfo/blind-sysadmins
