Hi Frank: I don't have much of a clue there. Actually we haven't loaded Windows on a Dell server in a long time, all of our Dell servers run ESX now. The last time we did load Windows though, we just installed Windows using a VL Windows disk, entered the key during the install, then downloaded the drivers from Dell's web site and installed them. I assume this Open Server CD is a drivers CD, and say they could just be downloaded from the Dell site at support.dell.com, but you tried that already so am not sure. Is the server still under warentee? Could you call Dell and see if they can send you a replacement? I booted into the Dell 2900 System build utility and had a sighted friend run through the setup screens to do an OS install. After putting in the Windows product key the build utility says prepareing to install with a progress indicator that gets up to 51 percent and then asks for the following CD: dell open server 5.3 I looked at the driver section for Power Edge 2900 on the http://support.dell.com site and could not find that CD image. Can anyone point me to the exact location and name of the CD image I need to finish the installation?
