Definitely agree here, if you're only running an I3 disk access shouldn't be a big deal. SSD would be faster but you won't take full advantage of it like you would with a more peppy CPU.

Without over clocking your CPU yes. And the last bottle neck would be your hard drive. Chances are it is a SATA drive therefore should be pretty good without worrying about getting into the more expensive solid state drives with less capacity.

According to the specs on the mobo, if I buy RAM faster than 1600, I'd have to overclock my CPU. The newegg page says, "Memory StandardDDR3 2200(O.C.)/2133(O.C.)/2000(O.C.)/1866(O.C.)/1600/1333/1066." So that would mean that fastest RAM you can use without overclocking is 1600, right?
I already have a 1Tb hard drive.

The reservations I have is with the I3 dual core processor. I think an I5 quad core would be less frustrating down the road, especially if you are using text to speech software. Then again the slower RAM will prevent your system from behaving too peppy.
I don't think I saw a hard drive. Before you spend the money source a system that is an I5 with 8 GB of RAM and a 1 terabyte hard drive. You might be surprised how close the cost will be.
