Wow, this is very confusing. I definitely have the option to check and uncheck the different shared calendars but do not have the option to open them in a new window. This should not be that difficult. I have quite some shared calendars and sometimes it's hard to see what's scheduled in all of them, so if I want to zoom in on a specific calendar, I right click it and open it in a new window.
