Only if the other person has a screen reader on their side of the connection. Turning on Narrator is a start. The other thing you need to make sure of is that the connection is maximized to avoid the issue with the keyboard output going to your local workstation. -----Original Message----- From: Blind-sysadmins [mailto:blind-sysadmins-bounces@lists.hodgsonfamily.org] On Behalf Of Ryan Mann Sent: Friday, June 01, 2018 11:23 AM To: blind-sysadmins@lists.hodgsonfamily.org Subject: [Blind-sysadmins] Quick assist with screen reader? Windows 10 has a built-in feature to give remote assistance called Quick Assist. Has anybody used this with NVDA or JAWS? I am able to connect to the other person’s computer, but I can’t seem to actually control it. When I do something such as hitting the Windows key, the start menu is opened on my computer, not there’s. If they do something, neither JAWS or NVDA reads the output. I thought somebody told me this was accessible, but maybe not? Thanks.
