Hi all, I am sorry, but I mean the system partition, NOT the boot partition where the operating system is stored. Will try the Linux version of Image and see if I am able to find it there! Many thanks, Christian On 2013-07-11 at 15:46 Philip Hall wrote:
I don't understand your question/problem. I have used image for dos to restore linux, windows 7, windows xp, and windows 8 partitions along with appropriate boot partitions. You just need to select the correct options under settings.

Hi all on this list, Hopefully someone on this list can help me with this and I think this is the right place to ask. As my harddrive backup program, I have been using a program called Image for DOS and it's also available for Linux and Windows. Since I am experimenting with different operating systems and especially Windows 8, I have noticed that one cannot just restore the previous OS from an image using Image for Dos. So my question is, does anyone know of an accessible program that can backup the boot partition so that it can be restored later on and one do not need to use the Windows 7 DVD and ask for sighted help when this happens? Many thanks, Christian
