Hello,
Thanks. That information is more current than the postings I had read,
which indicated it couldn't be uninstalled with it's self protection
module running.
Ok, another problem, if I load windows in safe mode then run the
utility to do the work, I don't have sound and/or speech. I've got a
pen drive with NVDA on it or the machines in question do have jfw on
them, either would work if I could get sound. Does anyone know if it's
possible to get sound in safe mode then speech, then to run the
uninstall, here's the big one all without sighted assistance?
I liked avast4, I do not like avast5.
Thanks.
Dave.

Hello, Does anyone have a procedure to remove avast5 from a machine? Add/remove programs won't do it due to the fact that the program has a self protection module. Thanks. Dave
