Normally, if you want multiple developers to work on a single project or even if you, as a single developer want to work on a project from several different desktops, what you would do is to install the IDE on each desktop and then save the development files to a shared SAN/NAS. Installing the IDE itself to a shared fSAN/NAS would cause problems with the PATH, the list directories the operating system uses to find programs to run. Where ever you installed Android Studio, you'd have to make sure it is added to the PATH or your op sys wouldn't find it. I don't know if the installation wizard for Android Studio even allows you to change the installation directory. If it does, it might even be smart enough to update the PATH. But then if you tried to access your development environment from another computer, it wouldn't know where to find Android Studio. It would definately be more trouble than it is worth. Most likely, what you want to do is to install Android Studio on your desktop and then save your work, your development files, to your SAN/NAS. You should be able to configure that when you start a project. I've never used Android Studio but, typically, and IDE asks you where you want to save your files when you start a project. Hello,
Thanks for your reply. I want to install the software on the SAN/NAS itself.
Thanks. Dave.

Hi.
Sorry I don't understand what you want here. Surely the SAN is showing up as a drive on the machine with the target, you can then format the drive and use it as a regular drive. Or do you want to install the software on the SAN/NAS itself?
Andrew.

Hello,
I've got/will have an iSCSI SAN on my local network. I'm wondering if anyone knows if it is possible/has tried and succeeded to install Android Studio and dependencies needing to run on it?
Thanks.
