Hello, Thanks. I've set up email so I do know how it's done, might not be as fast as lightning, but I do know how to lock it down and get it to do what I want. I'm going to be migrating my setup to a postfix/mysql system on a Ubuntu server, either 12.04lts or 12.10 opinions? I might have misspoken, I don't mind complicated, I've just never been able to get horde working previously, and I am wanting something that is screen reader friendly firstly, would be nice if it were mobile/outlook integration friendly, and hey if it looked good that would work. I might have to give imp another look. Thanks. Dave. On 2/6/13, John G. Heim <jheim@math.wisc.edu> wrote:
I think if you're looking for an uncomplicated web email system, you are going to be looking a long time. Its like looking for a cat that does what you tell it.
We use imp which is part of the horde suite of packages. There are debian packages and probably rpms too. It is easy to install but there is a lot to getting it set up and working. But then, email is complicated. There are a lot of security and spam issues you have to deal with.

Hello,
What is everyone using on their linux servers either physical or virtual vps/cloud, to provide webmail services?
The ones I know of are squirrelmail, which I don't like because of it's interface and the fact that it doesn't appear to be updating, and roundcubemail which using that with a screen reader solution does not work for me, plus sighted individuals looked at that one and couldn't figure out which item was a link which was not.
I've heard of two others hastymail2 which I've tried and although it works it is lacking features I'd like to see, and horde which I've never been able to get to work and which seems extremely complex and bloated.
Any suggestions, opinions, or recommendations appreciated.
Thanks. Dave.
