Nvda remote are crap Never get it work -----Ursprungligt meddelande----- Från: Blind-sysadmins [mailto:blind-sysadmins-bounces@lists.hodgsonfamily.org] För Laughingthunder Skickat: den 2 september 2015 01:33 Till: Blind sysadmins list <blind-sysadmins@lists.hodgsonfamily.org> Ämne: Re: [Blind-sysadmins] RDP with speech? Hi, The RDP add-on for NVDA does not do much. The best way to do this is to use a Windows machine to connect to the other Windows machines. NVDA must be installed on all of the machines for this to work. Then, have the Windows terminal services client pass the audio from the remote machines to your machine. This is not going to be anything like SSH, since Windows is graphical, rather than textual. This is also why you need to have NVDA installed on all machines. It just is not possible to have a locally installed screen reader interact with a remote Windows machine, unless you can afford the cost of a commercial screen reader or figure out how to use the NVDA remote add-on. I have no experience with either, so I can't be of much help with those. Hope this helps. On 9/1/2015 5:02 PM, Will Estes wrote:
All,
I've got a couple of MSWindows boxes to talk to over RDP. I come from the linux world where other methods are standard but those methods aren't available for this project. I see that NVDA has an RDP plugin, but is that the way to go? Is there a solution that is more linux focused?
Thanks in advance!
