Hi. I used TrueNAS when it first went over to Debian from the older FreeNAS running FreeBSD. This is similar to a lot of turnkey Linux appliances in that there was no accessible installer from the ISO, but I was able to get it working using OCR via camera and my limited vision. The web UI had a couple of issues especially setting up the initial RAID groups. I was thinking about trying it again as I want to upgrade my Synology. It really depends on what you want the "NAS" to do. If it is just simple file storage, and you are sharing to Windows, you can do it with Samba which is the underlying SMB server for the NAS systems running Linux. NFS is typically used for Linux/Unix systems and so on. I can't speak to True NAS' interface.

I am wanting to set up a home NAS. Currently I have some hardware I can purpose to this, a bit older but within specs. Later I plan to go all new components but right now I need to get something.
Is anyone using TrueNAS SCALE? If so is the installation process speech-accessible or can an existing iso be modified to make it speech-accessible? Once installed how accessible is the web UI from other machines, in my case Windows using NVDA or perhaps Android using Talkback?
If this route is not viable any other routes to setup a home NAS appreciated.
