Hello, We have Ubiquiti APs, cloud key and 1 pro switch. The accessibility on the controller is not all that. I have had to use NVDA to hover over the different elements/icons to get around. Some of the buttons are labeled and some of them complete guessing. The latest controller UI is even more modern I constantly keep switching it back to older more classic view. Controller is the hub for everything, you configure networks, WLANs, switch ports, VLANs just everything is done from controller. Many devices/ elements have those three little dots on the right side of each item that are extremely difficult to sea or locate with a screen reader. I do like the hardware and prices though. The IOS app is very much accessible if you get the network up and running and configured. I have not tried to start configuring the equipment from the App only. I would assume it would be sort of difficult if there is a need for VLANs or other more enterprise level configurations. Wi-Fi 6. They have some new Aps with Wi-Fi 6, but we run Unify AC HD. We run the Ubiquiti Aps with SonicWALL firewalls, VLANs work great even though it took a bit of a learning curve to get familiar with Ubiquities proprietary terminology. I find the controller not fully accessible. Last check I could remove AP's as I needed. I run many VLAN's here at home. I want the Nano HD's to broadcast 4 SSID's and they would be on different VLAN's. Sadly you can't do any of this via the CLI either. I've posted many times on their forums as did others. They don't seem to acknowledge the need for accessibility. Access is ok ish for the config process and its one of those instances where using the app can get better results. I wish I could get more details from the graphs and insights but they are fairly graphical. Overall I am happy with my setup. The firmware wasn't stable for the Dream Machine for a long while although I didn't have issues with it but its settled down a lot since last year. I'm looking to rebuild a network around a Dream Machine and a handful of 6 lite AP's but would appreciate any comments around the accessibility of the UI before I buy anything. I see Ubiquiti have a demo setup for people to play with before they buy, but I've also read about a new UI that's starting to ship so not sure if the demo is of the old or new one. Any thoughts most greatfully received. Cheers, Ben. _______________________________________________ Blind-sysadmins mailing list -- blind-sysadmins@lists.hodgsonfamily.org To unsubscribe send an email to blind-sysadmins-leave@lists.hodgsonfamily.org _______________________________________________ Blind-sysadmins mailing list -- blind-sysadmins@lists.hodgsonfamily.org To unsubscribe send an email to blind-sysadmins-leave@lists.hodgsonfamily.org _______________________________________________ Blind-sysadmins mailing list -- blind-sysadmins@lists.hodgsonfamily.org To unsubscribe send an email to blind-sysadmins-leave@lists.hodgsonfamily.org
