I haven't had trouble distinguishing letters and digits when dropped digits are used (e.g., in computer braille). I suppose you could precede the hex string with "0x", which would clarify the position of the first letter/digit. -----Original Message----- From: Blind-sysadmins <blind-sysadmins-bounces@lists.hodgsonfamily.org> On Behalf Of Samuel Barnes Sent: Thursday, May 31, 2018 10:12 AM To: Blind sysadmins list <blind-sysadmins@lists.hodgsonfamily.org> Subject: [Blind-sysadmins] hexadecimal in braille? How is hex indicated in braille? Constantly having to escape strings of digits and letters with the number and letter signs sounds super bulky. I know 8 dot braille uses dropped numbers, but that would make letters and digits harder to discern. _______________________________________________ Blind-sysadmins mailing list Blind-sysadmins@lists.hodgsonfamily.org https://lists.hodgsonfamily.org/listinfo/blind-sysadmins
