Tim, I must correct myself. It turns out they now use KVM as their hypervisor. So, apparently it has changed from when I looked at it a few years ago. KVM is very good for virtualization and it can be done via command line. The only web panel I've used is SolusVM which controls KVM. KVM is true virtualization where as OpenVZ isn't. Sorry about that. When you say that it doesn't do anything outside of Linux virtualization; what does this exactly mean? How did you find the web interface? I am having some initial challenges with the interface to get the underlying configuration done. It seemed straight forward to create a VM. At present, I am running PVE as a VM on Hyper-V (Windows 10 pro) just to poke at the interface--I cannot go so far as to actually create a VM. Another question: my backend storage would be iSCSI for the VMs, do I need to set this up directly from inside Linux? If I pursue further, I'll definitely have a go at the documentation. It is the same as OpenVZ. It is ok for linux virtualization, but will not do anything outside of that. If I can answer anything further, please let me know.
