Hi.
Yeah this is usually a problem because the user logging in with the profile doesn't have perms to create new folders on the destination share. Even if there is a folder created which you think the profile will go into, its likely that folder name may not be correct. For example we had this when migrating to Windows 7 a while ago, those profile folders ended with a .v2 at the end, so our script that created the user folders was not right.
Andrew.

Hi Billy,
Thanks for the info.
We will check.
So just modify for the main profile folder seems not to be enough?
Greetings,
Simon

Check and see if your profile folders have the Create+Owner added to it with full access.
We sometimes see this as of late.
Thanks,
Billy

Subject: [Blind-sysadmins] Win 11: Always getting a temp profile on this laptop
a Hi all,
It's me again.
This time i should get a new computer.
At the moment i am working on a Win 10 desktop PC (HP ProDesk 600 G3 Microtower).
This machine will be replaced with a HP ProBook 460 G11 laptop running Win 11.
We are using roaming profiles.
Admin users have no problem loggging into this machine.
When i login with my current user i get the following error:
We can't sign into your account" and 'You've been signed in with a temporary profile
So we restarted 5 times.
We completely wiped the machine.
This didn't help either.
I also created a brand new user and tried to login as well.
The same issue occurs.
Then we restarted 5 times again.
Nothing.
Has soneone had this problem as well?
Our Domaincontroller is a Windows 2016 Server.
Greetings and thanks,
Simon
