I have to say that I was hugely relieved not to have had a cup of anything hot in my hand when I read your reply, Andrew. Seems that Microsoft and HP/Compaq have their own definition of the word "normal"!! Thanks to a major nasty, we replaced our aging Server and Exchange 2003 over the New Year holiday. Installing SBS 2010 appeared to make sense, until we discovered that the supplied 4 Gb was insufficient. So this was doubled. All appeared OK, but slow, so we doubled it to the HP's max of 16Gb. (Bear in mind that's also double Microsoft SBS own memory advice!) But the detailed daily SBS reports started to show problems, and cutting a long story short, it was tracked down to lack of resources. Store.exe was taking up half of the available RAM. Seems we're far from the only ones suffering that problem - it's quite a "normal" problem. We're far from out of the woods yet, but I'm letting the Microsoft Partner network's people sort the rest out. I've shelled out enough so far for this box of [expletive deleted]. Seems that store.exe goes off and grabs whatever memory it can. I'd be interested to know what solution (if any) you applied that actually worked.
