Hi Dave, Sometimes in the bios you can see that information. Does anything power on at all when you try to use it? If you can't get into BIOS, you would definitely need a multimeter. The only systems I know of right off is the Dell servers I have which have a screen on the front that can show you how many watts and other diagnostic info. I'll spare the details but basically I try to put in a new 500W and it doesn't work, along with the three other ones I've tested that are known good. I can get just one to work with this box, apparently it's tricky, it's an hp desktop and I'm wondering if the amps are not right? Anyway, I need to know if it's possible for me to determine how many wats the working supply is putting out? Sighted help doesn't see anything on the back of the supply indicating that and I don't have a talking multimeter. Is there another way to determine this information? Thanks. Dave. _______________________________________________ Blind-sysadmins mailing list -- blind-sysadmins@lists.hodgsonfamily.org To unsubscribe send an email to blind-sysadmins-leave@lists.hodgsonfamily.org
