[Blind-sysadmins] accessible LiveCD or LFS with Windows/Linux diagnostics

Hello, Has anyone got a Linux From Scratch CD working with speech and added in custom apps? I've got one working with speech, but it was a modification of the existing LiveCD and doesn't have any additional applications. My goal is to have a disk that i can drop in to a machine, and boot and it will detect sound card and enable me to run diagnostics, most immediately being memtest86. Thanks. Dave.
