How hard is it to install Fusion on a VPS where one couldn't necessarily use the upload an iso install methods due to the web consoles not working with a screen reader? I'm thinking about blowing away the PBX in a flash install I have on there because it's getting old and starting to fail on incoming calls unless you reboot once in awhile, and I'd be at the turning point to either reinstall the latest one or use something else. I want to be able to do more with it where I'm stumped because of the firewall. I want to get Groundwire on my iPhone hooked up to it as well, but it appears that a lot of whitelisting of yet unknown domains or IP's is in order. I believe GW uses a middle server to hold your registration so if the app is closed that calls can still get in, and now with iOS 10, and I believe they have native call support, I could have calls come just like normal and be none the wiser that it's the voip line, except for the firewall would make sure I only know about them but can only hang up on them unless you could figure out the cell data ip range to whitelist that. Is the suggested port knocking idea even viable if you are going to be on cell data when away from home, as one wouldn't seem to be able to trigger it when the push for the incoming call comes? ----- Original Message ----- From: "Bill Dengler" <codeofdusk@gmail.com> To: "Jason White" <jason@jasonjgw.net> Cc: "Blind sysadmins list" <blind-sysadmins@lists.hodgsonfamily.org> Sent: Sunday, April 02, 2017 10:15 AM Subject: Re: [Blind-sysadmins] Accessible softphone client for windows?
I use it, with http://fusionpbx.com <http://fusionpbx.com/> as a PBX.

I tried exploring this. Binaries haven’t been updated in ages and I couldn’t get the source to compile. Underlying FreeSWITCH core too old for Opus and no mod_opus present.
Interesting. The underlying FreeSWITCH can be used as a phone from the command line, which is how I run it on my Linux laptop. I expect the same can be done under Windows, but I haven't tried.
If you're comfortable editing XML configuration files, then it's a good option.
