That's what I've been doing as well and then I pay a graphic designer on a per hour basis to generate diagrams from my text. It really seems there could be a better way but this works so far. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Sean Murphy" <mhysnm1964@gmail.com> To: "Blind sysadmins list" <blind-sysadmins@lists.hodgsonfamily.org> Sent: Wednesday, May 27, 2009 4:33 AM Subject: Re: [Blind-sysadmins] How do folks diagram? Scott, I get co-workers to describe the diagrams. If I had the time, I would investigate if it possible to write script for it. Hi all.
So nice to see some action on this list.
I'm wondering how folks deal with visio diagrams especially creating these diagrams. I'm a network engineer and frequently asked to build complex diagrams of different environments. Up until now I've been paying a graphic designer to turn text detailed descriptions in to visio documents but wondering if that's the only solution. How are you all creating these? Also, how do you read them simply have a coworker or friend virbalize the diagram or is there a trick? I'm starting a new gig next week and have a feeling a lot of this will come up quickly.
