Are we talking about the protocol or software here? If you have a Mac there is another client that is excellent for IM’s called Adium. Cisco Jabber works for chats using the Jabber protocol. Are you seeking for a IM program that supports multiple protocols or only the Jabber protocol? Sean

Hi all, This one has just come up; trying to connect to a private Jabber server (uses our AD domain credentials, and I was hoping to find a good Jabber client; I tried Spark from Ignite Realtime, and turns out screen readers can't get even an ounce of information worth a dang out of it. Also tried Miranda in the past, but have been told that when AD is used, Miranda misses important information; without AD, though, it works just fine. Not to mention, I can't even seem to log into it anyway, not from work, at least. If it matters, it has nothing to do with work; it's a personal project. I know tht Instantbird works, though that thing's not been updated in around three years. Any others? I would assume that the server is running either Openfire or Ejabberd. Thanks. _______________________________________________ Blind-sysadmins mailing list Blind-sysadmins@lists.hodgsonfamily.org https://lists.hodgsonfamily.org/listinfo/blind-sysadmins
