[Blind-sysadmins] Re: Unable to access a Asus router web ui

Looks like I spoke to soon. Upon re-downloading the Asus app it appears that it was using a cached log-in. Any operations I performed kept saying connection failed. So I managed to unlink the iPhone from the router in the IOS App, and am trying to log back in as it did find the Asus router, but it keeps saying connection failed. I’ve enabled the Advanced log-in settings and tried both http and https to no avail. Barry

Are you able to connect to router via Asus Router app on your phone? Asus router app is pretty helpful and with latest updates, it became even more accessible on IOS.

Wired and wireless connections are working fine, I just can’t even get to the authentication page and need to admin this router. Initial online searches seem to suggest something about WAN http Vs https connections. Trying either or with the Gateway address, and several Asus aliases aren’t loading the admin page.

Any suggestions? Resetting the router and setting it back up is very much a last resort….
