Hi,
I think it depends on the actual machines involved. I have always done my WE work using Dell kit, and have ensured I am using WHQL certified drivers from the Dell website, and touch wood, I have never had an issue. However, as you say, it is something to bare in mind, especially if you are the only blind person accessing the kit - I have got the art of installing WE to one reboot, but in some situations that is one reboot too many.
Thanks.
Andrew.

Please forgive me if this sounds like bashing.
I messed up several configs in University by putting Win Eyes on them.
Because drivers hadn't been updated the screens flipped upside down.
Not an easy thing to fix when your speech won't work and I'd hate to be
faced with that in the work place. It would have been highly
embarrassing and given me as a blind tech some bad press.
The more I've seen of System Access the more it's growing on me for tech
support work.
Granted it's got a long way to go to be as configurable as say Jaws or
Window eyes but it's flexibility is a massive plus.

Hello Troy,
Do you find IT folks balking at the need to install a video intercept
with Window-Eyes? RAM and RIM have the advantage that they do not
require such patching.

I am happy to have stumbled across this list. I am looking for accessible remote control software. I don't have the ability to install Jaws on every computer I touch, so any help would be appreciated. I used Jaws and Window eyes for access.
Thanks in advance,
Greg Bobo
