Hi, I don't think it is on Bookshare, I tend to use iBooks now as I can get good access to these books relatively quickly. With Agent 1.93 there were some scripts that came with Jaws up until around version 10.x. With later versions of Agent, I could read the message window, but I couldn't arrow through the m,message list and read the contents. I wouldn't use it for email now, but still have Usenet servers I would like to read. If I upgraded I would have to upgrade to 6.x as my key is licensed for only up until 1.93. I did try 6.x without any scripts just before Christmas and had the same results. Is that book available from Bookshare? I don't ever recall 1.93 having any scripts. I'm licensed up to and use 4.2, and the only script I ever needed was one I wrote to restore the functionality of automatically reading the message pane when ENTER is pressed from the message list pane. It's a modification of JAWS' ReadNonHighlightedText script that runs only when you're in the message pane window. Truth to tell, unless you do really fancy stuff with multiple Usenet servers, upgrading past version 4 doesn't get you anything special, with the possible exception of multiple nested desks. Of course, with version 4 you can have multiple desks, but they're all at the same top level. I think it was version 6 that introduced desk-nesting. HTH On Fri, 15 Mar 2013 18:08:53 +0000, you wrote:
Hi Steve,
See if you can get your hands on a copy of Mastering Windows Server 2008 R2 by Mark Minasi. I have it on the iPad and still use it from time to time. I also use CBTNuggets, but they aren't cheap unless you can get work to pay for them.
Incidentally, I notice you still use Forte Agent, what screen reader do you use with this? I use 1.93 still with old JFW scripts, but would love to upgrade.
Thanks. Andrew.

Anyone got a good starter resource for learning either of the three versions of WS out there--2003, 2008, or the new 2012--either free or on the cheap? I don't know if I'm quite ready for a five-day Microsoft course, and I surely don't have five-day Microsoft course money, but the title of a good thirty-five-dollar book would not go unappreciated.
TIA
