Hi, I was in this situation a while back, and it turned out that the Wifi on the laptop was actually switched off! It really was an embarrassing moment, but other than an icon on the screen and the fact the card wasn't picking up any signal, everything else looked normal. Thanks. I've got an interesting issue for everyone - hopefully someone might have some idea as to whats going on here? I have a laptop with an intel wifi card, I think it's a pro 2100. No matter what I try, I can't get it to see my access point. Things I've tried: Set both devices to work with both 11b&g at the same time, even though there both g Tried setting them both to g only. Other clients can connect to the ap fine and the card can connect to other networks without any problems. Tried updating drivers. A channel change didn't do anything. I entered the info for my network manually in windows but it still didn't connect. Signal isn't an issue - I've searched for my network in different rooms both near and not so near to the ap. I really don't get what's going on here, I thought I was fairly good at wlan related stuff but this doesn't appear to be the case. I've scene instanses where the card will try and connect then fail, but in this situation it can't even see my ssid. If anyone has any ideas or they've spotted something that I could be doing wrong, I'd be really interested in hearing them.
