Hi Frank: I have done pretty much the exact same thing you're doing, MCSA 2003 through New Horizons and Prometrick, and can pretty much echo what everyone else has said. Go with a reader/recorder, and extra time. I had the same reader for all of my exams, coincidence I think, and he knew his stuff and read things correctly. On some Microsoft exams, especially 70-290 and 70-291, I had about six or seven simulation questions where you had to perform a task, ranging in complexity I remember one where I had to set up SUS, for example. Know how to do the tasks with a mouse, AKA be able to tell the reader what to click on, and know what the reader should be telling you and you'll be fine. The simulations are just really complex flash objects, and I've heard they can crash quite frequently although I got lucky I guess. The only other thing I can suggest is if your New Horizons location offers it, take the exams there. That way people know you and what your needs are. I had a situation once where Prometric dropped the ball and failed to send a reader out, but the local NH staff talked with Prometrick and one of them was able to read for me for that one time. I live in Denver, and my experience with New Horizons of Colorado was very positive, they went above and beyond in accommodating me and making sure the machines were ready for my use, etc. I was so impressed, I've since taken VMWare training from them and had the same good experience. Hope this helps. The MS certification exams are now given by a company called Prometrix. Is anyone familiar withthem and is it possible to take the exams in accessible format? Thanks Frank _______________________________________________ Blind-sysadmins mailing list Blind-sysadmins@lists.hodgsonfamily.org http://lists.hodgsonfamily.org/mailman/listinfo/blind-sysadmins
