I thought that Jaws never worked with cmd.exe or command.exe in full screen mode. Under my Windows XP Pro SP3 Jaws 12 still doesn't work. Octavian ----- Original Message ----- From: "John G. I submitted a bug report to Freedom Scientific regarding the behaviour of jaws in a full-screen command window. The problem is that if you make a command window full screen by pressing Alt+Enter, jaws cannot read the text. AFAK, this has been the case since jaws 9. And it is a problem I've seen in jaws 11 and 12. But Freedom Scientific tech support tells me that they can't reproduce the bug.
Can anyone confirm this bug? Or does jaws work in a full screen command window for you? To try to duplicate my problem, do the following:
1. Open a run dialog box by pressing Windows+r. Enter "command" into the box and press enter. 2. When the command window opens, press Alt+Enter to make the window full screen. 3. Check if jaws can read the screen by typing a command like dir or helpYour keystrokes will be echoed but, in my experience, the text displayed by these commands is not read and there is no way to get jaws to read it.
