For some of you Mac enthusiasts, this may serve as a warning. If you have already come across the problem, and solved it, I'd love to hear from you. I needed a new laptop, and as I require access to administer our server from abroad, I wanted one with Windows 7 Professional or Ultimate. I also require access to a Mac to test and show people a newly developed version of some software. So, the MacBook Pro with dual boot using Boot Camp, was about my only choice. I'll spare the details of a completely wasted day, which concluded with a call to Apple UK, only to be told that the latest hardware and Boot Camp no longer supported Windows 7 - period! So that's the warning if you are considering a dual book Mac. Have therefore acquired a month trial version of VMware Fusion Pro, I do at least have Windows 7 installed, though it sure balked at having to install 321 Windows updates, reporting that memory was low. (The machine itself does have 8 GB of RAM and a 500 GB SSD drive) I'll spare details the specific problems I'm having, and simply ask if anyone has found themselves in a similar position, and might be will be chat off list about all this.
