Hi, The default install of BE installs a SQL Express instance and uses Windows Authenticationn with a database called BEDB. If you had an earlier BackupExec then it may use the MSDE database which I believe installed to a named SQL instance. SQL Express doesn't allow remote connections by default, but you can play around with the settings on the server to allow these. Thanks.
