Hi. The process of building the talking WinPE uses a program called WinBuilder. If you are proficient with your screen readers mouse movement keystrokes it can be done with some work. I used Jaws. I labeled some of the graphics and using the jaws cursor and a bit of poking around, I was able to build a custom talking WinPE. I updated NVDA and included image for windows. I got the information and the initial set of files from someone on the blind tech list. I can send you the zip file along with the instructions he sent me. The .zip file is about 90mb. You also might have to download and install any drivers your system may need, such as audio drivers. By default, the talking WinPE attempts to use an usb audio driver, so you would have to have either an usb sound card, or usb headset. I modified my version with the audio drivers for my system. As I said above, it isn't a walk in the park but it is doable with work Phil -----Original Message----- From: Blind-sysadmins [mailto:blind-sysadmins-bounces@lists.hodgsonfamily.org] On Behalf Of Christian Sent: Saturday, June 28, 2014 11:40 AM To: blind-sysadmins@lists.hodgsonfamily.org; blind-sysadmins@lists.hodgsonfamily.org Subject: Re: [Blind-sysadmins] Accessible harddisk backup software question Hi, Many thanks for the reply. Actually, I have that program and I have been using it with a DOS diskette, but where can I find instructions on how to create this custom Talking Win pe? I heared that it wasn't that accessible. Many thanks, Christian On 2014-06-28 at 11:26 Philip Hall wrote:
Hi. I have been using image for windows for many years. It is very accessible. It also can be included into something like the talking winpe software that is floating around the internet so you can do a backup/restore of your primary partition from a bootable cd or flash drive. Image for windows, dos, and linux can be found at www.terabyteunlimited.com
you can get all three for about $49 usd.

Hi all, Has anyone a good tip on an accessible harddisk backup software that can also restore your primary Windows partition? Many thanks, Christian
