I am doing Active directory things, RDP for certain situations and other basic funtions in windows. On the MacI am exploring MUNKI, as well as doing things in terminal. I'm leaning towards two separate computers and staying with the KVM. -----Original Message----- From: Blind-sysadmins [mailto:blind-sysadmins-bounces@lists.hodgsonfamily.org] On Behalf Of Michal Dziwisz Sent: Tuesday, November 10, 2015 9:57 AM To: Blind sysadmins list <blind-sysadmins@lists.hodgsonfamily.org> Subject: Re: [Blind-sysadmins] Mac and PC VM/KVM W temacie "[Blind-sysadmins] Mac and PC VM/KVM" Fermin, German pisze:
Just wanted to get thoughts from folks around here. I have to use both Mac and PC on a daily basis for my current job. My set up right now has been a KVM which I can switch quickly from my windows machine to my Mac and vice versa. My employer is going to be upgrading me but I have to decide which way I should go. Should I stay with a KVM with updated computers or get some sort of VM either on the Mac or my windows machine.
in my opinion it depends on what tasks are you doing on these computers, physical machine will be always better option than vm when talking about responsiveness. Personaly, i would stay with KVM. -- MichaĆ Dziwisz michal@dziwisz.net _______________________________________________ Blind-sysadmins mailing list Blind-sysadmins@lists.hodgsonfamily.org https://lists.hodgsonfamily.org/listinfo/blind-sysadmins
