Would you mind posting an iso someware as a proof of concept? I'd be more than happy to host it. As far as programs go, I like malware bytes, portable avg, portable super antyspyware and cleanup. Some of those programs come as installers, but its not hard to make them portable. In the projects I've scene, a ramdisk gets created apon boot which a selection of programs gets placed in, but I'm not sure if this is the best way of doing it really. I think that there should just be a directory of portable apps on the root of the disk which people can run. If the worst comes to the worst and the user is running it from a cd where they can't add any tools, they could still access a network share and do things that way. Great work. Ben. Hi Ben,
I've already integrated NVDA in to WinPE 2.0 and 3.0 as well as audio drivers graphics, WLAN/LAN, and all works well, yes the projects you mentioned are really good, although its just about finding what really works with NVDA.
I really wish that jaws wasn't so heavily dependent on video-hooking, but then again, if it wasn't I'm probably sure they wont be where they are today with access to various elements of programs etc.
I could do a recording if anyone wants, and if when time permits if no-one has this going as yet, Just to hear what things sound like in there, what's present and what's not But if someone does, do let us know what programs you use for the categories mentioned as well as any other category you wish to put there if it wasn't mentioned.

Let us know how nvda works in pe; I intended to do this quite a while ago but just never found the time. My understanding is that pe 2.0 which is the one you'll be wanting to use doesn't include a gui by default, but there are some projects that are 75% close to what we want; from memory all that we would need to do would be to integrate audio, eth and wlan drivers, nvda and some apps for troubleshooting as you mentioned.

Hi guys,
I'm really no system-admin and appoligise for off-topicness here.
I'm sure as a system administrator, you often get to sort out pc's where files that are corrupted need to be replaced, cleaning viruses, installing operating systems etc.
I'd appreciate your input if you could perhaps, please tell me if you use NVDA as a screenreader?
If yes, what program/s along with NVDA do you use for the following categories?: disk partitioning? file recovery? anti-virus/spyware? In a normal windows installation, I have no problem with this but, i'm thinking of trying to make a windows pre-environment and using NVDA as it doesn't rely on video-hooking as jaws and window-eyes does.
Your help would be much appreciated,
