Hi, Does anyone have this particular router? I've got the Linksys wrt54g2 router v1 with firmware 1.0.3. I'm having a problem that I first thought was radio interference from one of the two wireless networks near me. I'm in an apartment and the wireless laptop is approximately 40 feet away from the router and although the path is a straight line it passes through a restroom and a kitchen assuming it's like a laser and doesn't spread out. My issue is that wireless performance has been steadily worsening over the past few weeks. I didn't realize how bad until a machine out nearer the router got a file off bard in just over 5 minutes while the laptop takes over an hour assuming it doesn't time out. I'm not sure how to diagnose a channel conflict issue as I'm not sure what channels the two wireless networks near me are on. This wireless network is protected by a wpa psk. Last night I unplugged the router and left it down for about a minute before replugging it in. Performance improved noticeably, not perfect by any means but not as sluggish as it was. It's not great, but it's at least working. Has anyone seen this or has any suggestions? On a separate router issue also a linksys this one an e1000 a friend of mine got it and we cabled up a machine to it via ethernet. Wireless is working, though it's an open network, the windows 7 laptop connects automatically to it without requiring a key. Thus far working by remote I have not been able to find where on this e1000 router how to enter a WPA key and then doing that how to configure the windows 7 box to provide that key for internet access. Thanks. Dave.
