Just got some spam from these guys. Supposedly you dump your network configuration in to this package and it outputs a visio diagram. Anyone know if this actually works? Cost is about $1500 but if it did what they claim I might be interested. Any comments would be appreciated. This is on a centos 5.3 box. It has directories, regular files and symlinks in it. This shows what happens when i'm working late, brain goes to mush. I want to back it all up symlinks and all making an exact copy for archival purposes. I've tried some tar commands -cpf and -chpf but those gave me different archive sizes, when i uncompressed the folder it was larger or smaller than the original and not by a little bit either there was a 5 mb difference in one case, a 35 mb in another, i'm assuming the symlinks are the snagpoint, and that tar is creating hard links. I thought about rsync but didn't think it archived, pax i don't know. Suggestions welcome. Thanks. Dave. _______________________________________________ Blind-sysadmins mailing list Blind-sysadmins@lists.hodgsonfamily.org http://lists.hodgsonfamily.org/mailman/listinfo/blind-sysadmins
