You need to authenticate to a server in the farm. The catch is using text to speech software you need to have it installed on the server as well. Both Window-Eyes and JAWS have a virtual speech synthesizer that runs on the server as well. It passes the information to your software so speech can work. -----Original Message----- From: Blind-sysadmins [mailto:blind-sysadmins-bounces@lists.hodgsonfamily.org] On Behalf Of Darragh Ó Héiligh Sent: Wednesday, September 25, 2013 8:49 AM To: blind-sysadmins@lists.hodgsonfamily.org Subject: [Blind-sysadmins] Citrix. Good afternoon, I'm connecting to a client site at the moment and they use Citrix. I've got access to their web portal and I've selected the server... or what I thought was the server. Once this worked, I am presented with a really strange dialogue. The window title is remote desktop remote 256 bit ssl / tls. I'm aware thanks to some messing around with OCR on my phone that I'm presented with a list of servers but no screen reader will interact with this. I'm slightly stumped. I have to get access to the server that needs to be worked on but I cannot under any sercomstnaces choose the wrong server. Have any of you experience with using Citrix? Is it normal that screen readers just won't interact with this dialogue? _______________________________________________ Blind-sysadmins mailing list Blind-sysadmins@lists.hodgsonfamily.org http://lists.hodgsonfamily.org/listinfo/blind-sysadmins
