I downloaded Asterisk from http://downloads.asterisk.org/pub/telephony/asterisk/asterisk-16-current.tar... and was able to run 'make menuselect', arrow around with cursor tracking, toggle options, etc. This was using JAWS with both Secure CRT and command-line ssh. Pressing 'h' from within 'make menuselect' provides help which is worth a read. Make sure you're getting all punctuation since it uses [ ] to indicate an unchecked option and [*] to indicate a checked option. I think Fenrir implements soft cursor (e.g., highlight) tracking that may at least partly solve your problem. Alternatively, finding an existing Debian package that suits your needs would work around it, but I assume you've already attempted to do so.

Hello,
I'm trying to install Asterisk on a Debian10 machine. I'm connecting to said machine via ssh. Whenever I run make menuselect I am having difficulties both navigating the UI and determining which elements are checked or unchecked. Is there a way round this?
Thanks.
