Hi Billy, so I tend to use the regular old ssh client (Open SSH 7.2) included with OSX on the Mac. On the windows side I use secure CRT or putty if I’m in a pinch but I try to use windows as little as possible. Professionally I’m a Network engineer so I tend to work with devices more than servers. You use ssh to remote access devices and get to the CLI. That’s the only thing I haven’t found for the Mac which is a good serial terminal. For now I run windows in a VM and use secure CRT or putty to access a USB to Serial dongle I patch through to the virtual machine. I can use that via the console port to configure devices right out of the box. We’ve got some members here and other folks I know though that are working for Microsoft improving accessibility so I am most hopeful for good things with the windows environment in the future. I like learning how other folks in the field are doing things. THere’s some real talent on this list. I know that was sort of a snarky comment about not having to use tools and complicated work arounds but I do hope this improves. Remote administration or collaboration tools that were easy to use and accessible would help a lot of folks in our game on the employment side. Lots of support teams use things like go to meeting with their customers. Juniper at least let us use team viewer and F5 was equally flexible but other companies are severely limited in their offerings. The remote desktop trend as well would benefit from work here.

Hi Scott,
That is why my webhosting business runs on CentOS. I use MikroTik routers and switches. I was trained in Cisco as well. Jack of all trades. As time goes on I am hating a gui. Just wish VMWare Vsphere was in high contrast so I could see it better. So, what SSH client do you use the most?
Thanks,
Billy

All this makes me so happy I’m an SSH guy using Unix devices or network devices on the far end.:)
Seems like so much overhead.

Hello all: The company I work for is thinking to buy team viewer. Does anyone use team viewer with screen readers? Do all of the versions work with screen readers, or is there a specific version that does. Thanks in advance. Kathryn
