Hi, Thanks @chris T i've just installed Teraterm and it's allowing me to copy the output easily to a notepad which is easier to read. This is great help. I'll also take a look at the other suggestions and hopefully find something that works well. Regards, Chamandeep Singh Grover On 4/29/19, Billy Irwin <billy.irwin@outlook.com> wrote:
Hi,
I do an Alt + E for the edit menu. Then Select All then Copy. There is shortcut keysd for those... I've copied a long output from a Yum update to go back through to see if there were errors.
Hope that helps,
Billy

that's great to know. So are there any useful shortcuts to know or hacks that you've got over time to use secure crt? I.E to copy the window or do you do this via jaws virtualise window feature.
I'll look into this though.

Hi,
What I do if it is a large output is copy the entire window to notepad or notepad++. If I need to edit files on the server then I use WinSCP. I manage an entire web hosting platform for over 500 customers with no limitation.

Hi, Just looking into secure CRT, however accessing large chunks of information with the jaws cursor doesn't sound very appealing to me or an accessible way? I've never had much success reading large data blocks with the jaws cursor.
Looks like i can get a trial though, so will certainly give it a go.

Hi,
SecureCRT is the way to go for me. I know it costs but it is worth every penny. You can move around the window with the JAWS cursor and or copy it to text file.
Best,
Billy

Hi, I could try the win 10 method yes. Speech history doesn't work with putty as the output is not automatically announced.
Thank you Chamandeep Singh Grover

Hi All, I need to connect to an Amazon EC2 linux instance and wanted to know what the most accessible way with a screen reader is. I'm relatively new to this and i thought Putty would be a good option, but even after installing the jaws scripts, the terminal feedback isn't great. Is there a tool which shows the output as a read-only textbox, so if there is a lot of output it is easier to navigate through it? One of the common things i struggle with when using cmd for instance is reading long output, so i end up writing to file instead.
I hope someone can suggest something good as this is something I will need to do more often.
