I haven't tried it since jfw 7.1 but the silent install was broken as of version 6.4. Maybe they fixed it for 8 and/or 9. Here is a link to a Freedom Scientific knowledgebase article about doing a silent install for jfw 5: http://www.freedomscientific.com/fs_support/BulletinView.asp?QC=856 I can verify that it used to work. I think it worked for jaws 6.1 but don't quote me on that. For a long time, I had my unattended install install an old version of jaws just so I could have it. But I eventually switched to installing nvda. It's way, way easier to install during an unattended install and it's free. PS: Which unattended installation system are you using? ----- Original Message ----- From: "Dave" <dave.mehler@gmail.com> To: <Blind-sysadmins@lists.hodgsonfamily.org> Sent: Tuesday, August 12, 2008 10:29 AM Subject: [Blind-sysadmins] Installing jfw9 during a windows unattended setup?
Hello, Might be slightly O.T so please respond privately if necessary. I'm doing work with a custom windows xp pro unattended setup. I'm wanting to install applications along with the setup, one of which is jfw9. I've heard it's possible to do a silent install, but not sure how to do this, nor even if it is possible to package the file so it would install. Thanks. Dave.
