Hi Andrew, We have Service Now or Snow as everyone calls it at work these days. It is quite a nasty interface when using JAWS. There are lots of extraneous and useless links named Void this and void that which I can't seem to get rid of though they don't do anything. I haven't followed it up but it may be there are some JAWS scripts developed for it as it is quite a common tool for incident/problem/change management these days. It would be great if Freedom Scientific concentrated on making widely used applications in the workplace like Snow easier to use with JAWS rather than adding lots of what I feel are unnecessary bells and whistles like research IT and the like. Regards, Phil. -----Original Message----- From: Blind-sysadmins [mailto:blind-sysadmins-bounces@lists.hodgsonfamily.org] On Behalf Of Andrew Hodgson Sent: 01 June 2018 11:19 To: blind-sysadmins@lists.hodgsonfamily.org Subject: [Blind-sysadmins] Service now - is it as usable as it could be with a screen reader Hi, I have just started using Service Now as part of my new job. i am mainly raising change control items, and adding to tickets. I am finding it a slog to use with JFW and Chrome/Firefox. It is very unclear when fields are read only, there seems to be non-standard combo boxes on the fields, and I am often shunted around on the page for no reason. Is anyone else having similar experiences? i don't know to what extent the system is customisable by the company, even though it is hosted by Service Now. Thanks. Andrew. _______________________________________________ Blind-sysadmins mailing list Blind-sysadmins@lists.hodgsonfamily.org https://lists.hodgsonfamily.org/listinfo/blind-sysadmins
