Hi,
To be honest I wonder if this is something in Server Essentials that is causing you problems, I would go with the Standard edition of Server 2019 unless your course tutor tells you otherwise. Server Essentials will potentially try and push you down a path of setting up a DC with specific settings which may not work with your course.
Also where did you get your VM from, did you install it with an ISO image or from somewhere else?

Hi. Go to settings, then personalization. Then go to start to change my apps list setup. Does not go into that, just keeps teeling me windows is not activated. Cannot get into the task bar area either. Just checked my version. Windows server 2019 essentials version 1809. Do I need to update this version.
